On 28 August 2026, Sophie will deliver a talk at the “7th TRΔIL Research Camp: On Artificial Intelligence” in Lausanne. The presentation is titled:

“Scoping Review: AI-Supported Clinical Documentation Among Physicians: A Scoping Review of Efficiency, Workload, and Psychological Outcomes in Inpatient and Emergency Care”.

The TRΔIL Research Camp (TReC 2026) takes place from 24 August to 4 September 2026 at the University of Lausanne and serves as an international innovation lab for trustworthy AI, human–AI interaction, and the social and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence. The camp focuses on multidisciplinary projects that bridge STEM and SSH perspectives—for example in healthcare, Industry 4.0, mobility, environment, media, or public policy.

Sophie’s contribution speaks directly to the core questions of our project: How is clinical documentation changing under the influence of AI systems? What effects can be observed regarding efficiency, workload, and psychological strain among physicians in inpatient and emergency care settings? The talk presents findings from a systematic scoping review and discusses implications for the future design of AI-supported clinical documentation processes—also in light of narrative, historical, and ethical perspectives on the discharge letter.

We look forward to exchanging ideas with the international TRΔIL community and to gaining new insights for our work at the intersection of medicine, the humanities, and AI.
